Sapienship was founded by Yuval Noah Harari and Itzik Yahav, and we had the honor of participating in this amazing multidisciplinary initiative. The brand identity and website we created highlight Sapienship’s ambition as a global social impact company: to focus the public conversation on the most important challenges facing humanity today, through projects in the fields of entertainment, education and innovation.
When thinking about the brand identity of the organization we came to the conclusion that the focus must be on the human aspect of it. Sapiens are the last species of humans to survive. For that reason we chose to emphasize the human aspects in the design, such as the fingerprint fused with the letter ‘S’ for the organization logo.
The colors chosen for the projects are blue and orange, symbolising the fundamental elements of life - fire and water. Without those two elements, sapiens could not survive on this planet. The typographic layout for the initiative is horizontal and is meant to symbol the significant period in history for sapiens - when mankind evolved to an upright position.
The website was designed with the purpose of communicating the various activities of the organization. The website was developed with Webflow, which we enjoy using.
